We highly recommend that for every hour you spend in the studio learning, you spend an equal or greater amount dancing in a social setting to retain what you have learned. Beginner Salsa Level One - 4 week course, (FOUR 2 hour classes) 8 hours $100.

Objective- Learn proper dance floor etiquette. Learn how to locate and maintain the rhythm of the music. Learn different holding positions. Learn the basic step. Learn to lead/follow the right turn, left turn, and cross body lead.
WEEK 1- Learn how to find the first beat at any given moment in the music. Learn the basic step. Learn proper holding positions. Learn to maintain the rhythm of the music while executing the basic step with and without a partner. Learn the basic concept of resistance.
WEEK 2- Review week 1. Learn how to maintain the rhythm of the music while leading/ following your partner in a complete circle (360). Learn the basic right turn. Learn to lead/follow the right hand turn. Combine leading/ following your partner into 360 and leading/ following a right hand turn.
WEEK 3- Review week 2. Learn the cross body lead. Learn to execute the cross body lead in open and closed positions. Combine Leading/ following your partner into 360, right hand turn and cross body lead in various sequences.
WEEK 4- Review week 3. Learn the basic left turn. Combine leading/ following your partner into 360, right and left turn and cross body lead in various sequences. |
Execute sequences smoothly and on time to advance to Beginner Salsa level 2
NOTE- This class is designed as a 4 week course. It is important for all students to attend every class in the session, however, if for any reason a pre-registered student must miss a class, it can be made up in a discounted private lesson. For make-up privates, we will subtract the value of the missed class (which is $25) from the cost of our ongoing private lesson rates which is $60 for a one hour private and $110 for a two hour private.
Make-up Privates for Beg-Level 1 Pre-registered students:
$40 for a 1 hour make-up private
$90 for a 2 hour make-up private |

Objective- Learn to execute basic turn patterns. Learn more advanced concept of resistance. Learn new ways to lead the basic right turn and cross body lead. Learn to lead/follow broken left hand turn, different hand signals, cross body lead with left and right turn, basic shines, styling and more.
Course Outline available in class.
Students should be able to smoothly execute different turn combinations on time using all of the aforementioned skills in order to advance to Intermediate Level.
NOTE- This class is designed as a 4 week course. It is important for all students to attend every class in the session, however, if for any reason a pre-registered student must miss a class, it can be made up in a discounted private lesson. Intermediate Objective- Expand your Salsa repertoire by learning to lead/follow intermediate level turn patterns and shines. Ladies will also learn prep and spin technique at this level. Gentleman and Ladies alike will also learn various intermediate level styling techniques.
